Waubesa is the only Madison Chain lake where I've caught significant numbers of Yellow Bass, and I think Waubesa still holds the State Record, caught through the ice a few years back.

I think I was close to the Green Lantern. I've never been to McDaniel. What you need to know about fishing Lake Waubesa Waubesa and Kegonsa were created by glacers that left their debris which damned the melting glacers and created the lakes 12,000 to 15,000 years ago. Caught 1 small mouth and a 12 inch sheepshead   I fished from 8 am to 1130 am both days.Umcickbenn:  Lake Farm is a great launch.
It was a bit tough getting to the launch from the beltline the last time we were there a month ago. A White Bass's stripes will usually cross unbroken the entire length of the fish. 2 about 16 inches the others smaller Fish slowed down and went to the marker buoys down the lake and caught a sheepshead, 3 yellow bass (I think) never caught one before. After moving to Verona a month ago I finally got out fishing on Waubesa Tuesday and Wednesday. All the lakes have some, though.

I've caught a lot of fish up and down the river. I have had terrible luck at Babcock from shore, and most everywhere else for that matter, so I'm desperate for something new.

All the lakes have some, though. Wednesday the wind shifted and tried a couple of different spots. 2 were 9 1/2 inches. I've never been to McDaniel. I am taking a friend out and pre-fished Mendota spots I was thinking and it was gross everywhere. Nearly identical to White Bass, but typically a touch smaller, oftentimes do have a yellowish tint, especially in their fins, and their stripes break very suddenly about halfway down the length of the fish. Congrats. Is McDaniel park okay to fish from? Motored around and found a sharp drop off from 13 to 16 feet and caught 9 Walleyes in about 2 hours. It is the one we use when fishing Waubesa. We get off at the south town exit from the east and had to go right and turn around to get through some construction on the overpass. Stayed away from the boats in shallower and fished out in 12 to 14 feet,  Caught 3 13 inch crappies and about a dozen nice gills.
