We thought our baby had a fever so we checked with this product. I am very happy with this product. I would've easily returned it but had thrown away the original packaging. completely normal temps while the braun was still way off. Not acurate at all 3 different tempos in matter of a min time span on same person
Although this thermometer is more expensive than others, it’s definitely going to make that extra cash worth it. Why not take the baby picture of your packet so parents looking for piece of mind don’t get fooled 100 times and end up in ED in the early hours if the morning because the thermometer can’t read the correct temp! Most have headings that say "Five Stars" ,"Great Buy", or "Easy to Use" and they say very little outside of the fact that they play attempt to counter the exact things complained about in the negative reviews. Like someone said, it feels solidly made but that's about it. Waste of money and dangerous if it is used as a screening thermometer for Covid 19.It showed my child's temperature as 34.8 and my other child had a fever of 38. The ease of use and speed of obtaining a temperature readings make it an excellent choice of thermometers as it means a non-contact temperature can be made, just as is done in a doc...tors surgery. My advice for others is to try it for yourself and see how it works. Noncontact forehead thermometers, however, are less likely to disturb a sleeping child, because you only have to hold it 1 to 6 inches from the forehead and scan it across the forehead to get a reading. You can also accurately take a temperature using the more traditional forehead touch method. I bought this as it was supposed to be the most accurate but after weeks of my son getting consistently high temperatures on this (even though he gp showed lower), the gp referred us to a pediatrician for further tests.
