Lake Calhoun Ice Fishing. Lake Calhoun in Hennepin County, Minnesota has been officially renamed to "Bde Maka Ska". I have seen 50" muskie, caught 4+ lb bass, 20"+ walleye, 36"+ pike and had class with a guy who caught an 18" crappie out of there (I saw the a picture of it next to a beer can...it was a MONSTER). There are some decent spots just about everywhere on the lake within a short walking distance of where you can park.

Duck Lake supports one of the best warmwater fisheries in Michigan. Lake Calhoun Park entrance signs were previously updated on Oct. 2, 2015 to include both Lake Calhoun and Bde Maka Ska as a public education effort and as a way to honor the Dakota name.
