Trout are rising. … Bluegill, crappie, and yellow bass are most commonly caught at these locations. We fished from the 173 bridge to the mouth and didn't get one bite, and there was NO CURRENT AT ALL! Downstream of Yorkville, the number of bass in the river is somewhat lower, but fish can be found in the larger tributaries, Big Rock, Little Rock, Somonauk and Indian Creeks.
