The new-build hotel will offer between 110 to 120 rooms, meeting and boardroom facilities, restaurant and dining options, a roof top function centre with views of Busselton Jetty and Yallingup Hills. The development will take place on one of two commercial development sites earmarked for a high-end hotel on the Busselton Foreshore. A memorandum of understanding between the City of Busselton and Pacifica Hotel Holdings Pty Ltd was signed outlining the intended legal structure and development terms of the hotel project and the parties' roles and expectations in relation to the development. The hotel will offer views of Busselton Jetty and Geographe Bay, the wetlands, Whicher Scarp and Yallingup Hills. "Whether it is the performing arts centre or even the [Busselton Jetty] underwater observatory, which would also attract national or international visitors." “It enabled us to do this without having to close the observatory for three weeks during peak season,” she said.South West MLC Adele Farina said the upgrades would further elevate the visitor experience at the award-winning attraction.“We all know COVID-19 has had an extreme impact on our region, especially our tourism industry, including the Busselton Jetty and local South West businesses,” she said.
