Our focus on rime-rhyme learning (in addition to letter-phoneme learning) is unique and while others have focused on letter-phoneme learning and decoding accuracy, we believe that the ability to quickly learn to recognize rimes/rhymes provides an advantage when adult L2 learners are being trained on a new alphabetic orthography that includes many rhyme families.
